LSAF SEN Events

These events are run by us Lexden Springs Appeal Fund. Any available events will be in the shop section of this website and advertised on our Facebook page. We are a group of parents that book activities and private hire events for SEN children and young people and their families. Our events include SEN Discos, Private Hire Of Leisure World Swimming Pool, Soft Play Centers, Splash Parks, Inflatable Days, Bowling, Trampolining, Crazy Golf and much more.

Wheels For All

Wheels for All is an Inclusive Cycling programme based at Colchester Sports Park, that embraces all children and adults with disabilities and differing needs to engage with quality cycling activity, using adapted cycles such as handcycles, trikes and wheelchair transporter to assist in building confidence and independence in cycling.

Try out our wide range of adapted bikes for anyone with a disability or differing needs in a fun and safe environment. We use part of the mile long (1.6km) purpose built cycle track for our sessions and offers options of a range of cycles. The sessions are delivered by Wheels for All staff and trained volunteers.

Wheels For All run year round but will close sessions in extreme weather conditions

WHEN: Wednesdays 10am(School Hols Only), 11am, 1pm, 2pm – Saturdays (Family Session) 1pm, 2pm

Go Bananas Soft Play

Go Bananas soft play offer monthly SEN sessions, during this time they limit the amount of people able to enter and offer a calmer atmosphere. These spaces do need to be pre-booked.

They also offer free sessions in school holidays for free school meal children and low income famillies.

Dream The Change

Dream The Change was established to bridge the gap between families from diverse backgrounds who have children with special educational needs and disabilities and service providers. Dream The Change organise parent seminars, training days and workshops for parents and carers. They also organise a range of support groups, social events for families, including after school clubs, day trips and activities.
